South Australia took on Queensland in the ninth Australian One Day Cup 2024-25 match, which was played at the Allan Border Field in Australia. 

South Australia won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. They were rocked early as Liam Guthrie picked up the wicket of the two openers within the fifth over of the innings.

The shot exposed Fraser-McGurk's technique against moving deliveries. This is something the young Australian batter will be looking to improve on in his career.

Guthrie followed up with the wicket of Alex Carey soon after, which put South Australia under pressure. He ended his spell with four wickets for 15 runs in his eight overs. 

It took a gutsy and gritty effort from Nathan McSweeney to take South Australia to a respectable total. The middle-order batter scored 137 runs from 131 deliveries. 

Jimmy Peirson's Knock Undid The Performance Of Nathan McSweeney

McSweeney's fighting knock took South Australia to 218. However, McSweeney's effort was not enough. Queensland chased down the target easily as Jimmy Peirson scored a brilliant Hundred. He remained unbeaten on 100 off 98 deliveries and, accompanied by Matt Renshaw, took the team to a comfortably nine-wicket win with more than 17 overs remaining in the game.
