India is playing against New Zealand in the second Test match of the three-match series at the MCA Stadium in Pune. After bundling out the visitors for a moderate total in the first innings, the Indian team is looking to take a sizeable lead and put the team under pressure.

The home team finished Day 1 on 16/1. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill started Day 2 and looked dynamic in the middle. The two batters manoeuvred the Kiwi bowlers nicely, adding momentum to the inning progression.

On the third delivery of the 17th over, Shubman Gill took the attack to Tim Southee. The New Zealand pacer bowled a full delivery a touch outside the off stump. The right-handed batter charged down the track and lofted the ball over the long-off fence for a maximum.

Gill's shot displayed the batter's elegance and brilliance. He treated the veteran Kiwi bowler like a spinner and demonstrated his class. However, his innings did not last long after that. Gill was dismissed for 30 off 72 by Mitchell Santner.
