The 9th match of IPL 2024 is turning out to be quite an intense affair with both Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals giving their all in a bid to grab those two crucial points. RR were put to bat by Rishabh Pant after batting first and despite losing three early wickets, they managed to score 185. In reply, DC have lost four wickets with captain Rishabh Pant being the fourth wicket to go.

Pant could have been out before as well had Dhruv Jurel taken a difficult catch near the boundary line, but it was not to be and Pant got a much-needed lifeline. Talking about that drop catch, it was the fourth delivery of 10th over and Chahal tossed it up on the off stump line. Pant played a slog-sweep but did not time it perfectly and the ball went high in the air towards deep mid-wicket.

Dhruv Jurel ran towards the ball and almost reached under the ball. However, the ball deflected of his hand and popped away over the ropes to give Pant his first six of the match.

Eventually, Pant departed in the 14th over and struggled to get going right throughout his knock as he ended up with painful 28 off 26 balls.
