In a thrilling low-scoring chase during the BPTL 2024 game between Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers and Harbours Diamonds, Impact Player Aman Singh made a significant mark by dismissing Abhishek Porel to draw first blood in 138 runs chase.

The Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 has been a showcase of emerging talent and high-pressure cricket, and the recent match between Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers and Harbours Diamond was no exception. 

Harbour Diamonds were put to bat first at Eden Gardens, and Ananta Shah-Karan Lal’s 2 wicket hauls each reduced LSKT to a 138-run inning total.

However, the chase was equally tricky, especially after impact player Aman Singh Shekhawat drew first blood to remove dangerous opener Abhishek Porel. 

Abhishek Porel, who was coming off a decent season with Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, had stitched 54 runs opening partnership with Karan Lal in the powerplay.

With their backs against the wall, Manoj Tiwary, skipper of HD, called in impact player Aman Singh Shekhawat in desperate search of a wicket. Aman Singh, with his unusual deceptive action, bowled a good length delivery off the leg side to Porel. 

Abhishek Porel couldn’t anticipate the line and ended up playing straight to catcher Vivek Singh at deep square leg. That marked the end of Porel’s 30 runs off 23 balls gritty knock. 

However, fortunately for LSKT, Karan Lal took responsibility from the other end. His 62-run knock guided LSKT to a 7-wicket victory in 16.4 overs.

Having said that, with three wins in five games, LSKT has moved up to second place in the BPTL 2024  points table, whereas a winless Harbour Diamonds slipped all the way to the bottom with zero points in five games.
