Muralitharan's connection with India

Muttiah Muralitharan, a Sri Lankan Tamil, is married to Madhimalar Ramamurthy from Chennai, India. In the IPL, he is associated with the Sun Group's franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad and has played for multiple IPL franchises in the past.

The cricketer-turned-businessman invested in a 1000-crore project in Dharwad last year. The new project in Chamarajanagar appears to be an extension of his already established venture in Dharwad.
