An all-too-familiar sight unfolded at the third Ashes 2023 Test in Headingley, when Australian opener, David Warner found himself walking back to the pavilion, courtesy of a delivery from England's stalwart pacer, Stuart Broad.

Broad's stunning delivery outfoxes Warner, again

Warner once again succumbed to Broad during the third over of Australia's second innings, after the visitors came out to bat, having gained a narrow 26-run lead over England's total of 237 runs.

Broad skillfully tamed Warner with a beautifully executed delivery. The seasoned English speedster served up a precise, good-length ball that lured Warner into a defensive stance. However, the delivery swerved off the pitch, finding the edge of the Australian's bat.

Zak Crawley, stationed aptly at second slip, swiftly moved to secure a catch, putting an abrupt halt to Warner's brief stint at the crease which saw him scoring 1 off 5 balls. It's worth noting that Crawley had been Warner's nemesis in the first innings as well, snaring a crucial catch from the same position.

This dismissal enhanced Broad's standing, elevating him to third place among bowlers who have repeatedly dismissed a particular batsman in Test cricket. This marked the 17th occasion that Broad has ousted Warner in their Test duels across 29 matches. The record is currently held by Australian legend Glenn McGrath, who sent Englishman Michael Atherton back to the hut 19 times over 17 matches.
