Stuart Broad and David Warner's rivalry over the years has been a spectacle to behold. Every time the Ashes takes the centrestage, there is a lot of talk about Broad's ability to trouble Warner with that brand new cherry and the story seem to be flourishing in Ashes 2023 as well.
In the third Ashes Test at Headingley, Broad once again waived his magic and got the better of Warner in the very first over. It was the fifth delivery of the first over and Broad pitched it right in that corridor of uncertainty, around off. It was the angle from 'round the wicket that brought Warner forward to defend it but all he could manage was an outside edge. The ball flew towards left of Crawley at second slip who grabbed it sharply to hand England their first wicket in the the third Test.
Broad now has got rid of Warner for 16th time in Test cricket and has surely enjoyed supremacy over the Australian southpaw.
At the time of writing, Australia are 31-1 with Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne battling out for Australia in overcast conditions.
Earlier, Ben Stokes won the toss and decided to bowl first in a hope that his seamers will make impact with the new ball. Broad has lived up to the expectations of his skipper but it is all about keeping that consistency and patience throughout the day and let's see how things pan out in what is expected to be a thrilling Test match.
