Team India off-spinner Deepti Sharma continued her fine bowling performance in the second Twenty20 International (T20I) against Bangladesh at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. 

The right-arm off-spinner provided the visitors with an early breakthrough by dismissing Bangladesh opener Dilara Akter in the penultimate delivery of the second over. 

Sharma produced a tossed up delivery to tempt Akter to go for a maximum and the batter obliged. She went on one knee to go for the slog sweep but failed to get enough elevation as the ball ended up in the safe hands of Renuka Singh at deep backward square leg.

Akter was dismissed for 10 runs of six deliveries after she made a fine start to the Bangladesh innings by hitting Renuka for two boundaries in the first over. 

However, she could not make the make the most of her start and failed on successive occasions after being dismissed for four runs in the first T20I. 

With the ball, India shaked the home team with Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil and Deepti sharing 8 wickets between them. Sobhana Mostary's dismissal off Shreyanka's bowling on a Ravi Ashwin-esque delivery was the highlight of the match.

Nonetheless, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side lead the five-match series 2-0 after winning at Sylhet by 19 runs on DLS method.
