David Warner has recently retired from Test and ODI formats and has now decided to channelise his energies completely on the T20 format. He started off his new journey with a BBL game for Sydney Thunder against Sydney Sixers and showed all glimpses of his glorious past, hitting some unbelievable boundaries on his way.

One of those shots was the reverse-sweep Warner played when he was on 28 off the bowling of Todd Murphy.  The off-spinner bowled it fuller on middle and it was pushed quicker as well. Warner though was in mood to show his full range as he brought out a superb reverse-sweep that almost carried all the way towards the third man fence.

The ball went off the bounce over the boundary line and Warner looked like he would take Sydney Thunder over the line. However, wickets kept falling from the other end and Warner who started aggressively had to go into his shed.

He eventually departed for 37 off 39 balls with two sixes and a four and Thunder collapsed to a big loss as they could not gather any momentum in their bid to chase down a target of 152 set by Sydney Sixers at SCG.
