Shivam Dube who is making a comeback in the Indian T20I side struck gold in his very first over as he got the big wicket of Afghanistan skipper, Ibrahim Zadran to put visitors in early trouble at Mohali.

It was the 9th over of the game as India decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz first up as Axar got the better of him and then Dube in his just second delivery sent back Afghan skipper back as well.

It was a shortish delivery, around off and Zadran slapped it towards covers. However, Rohit Sharma stationed at short cover took a sharp catch, bringing smiles all over the Indian camp. Afghanistan soon lost wicket of Rahmat Shah as well as Axar delivered another beautiful delivery.


At the time of writing, Afghanistan are 75-3 in the 13th over and they need the pair of Azmatullah Omarzai and Nabi to bat deep. Afghanistan would need at least around 170 to make a match out of this one, as the IS Bindra Stadium is a good chasing ground.

Shivam Dube's all-round skills are crucial for India with T20 World Cup around the corner, and India would be hoping that he delivers consistently both with the bat and ball.
