David Warner is one of the finest batters of modern-day cricket and though he is at the fag end of his career, the man is still going strong in T20 leagues around the world. He is leading Sydney Thunder in the ongoing Big Bash League, and in the Challenger of the season, his team is taking on Sydney Sixers.

The Men in Pink scored 151 while batting first and Thunder needed Warner to go big in the high-pressure run chase. The left-hander started off with the bang as well, smashing his first ball of the innings for a six. It was quite an audacious shot from the skipper against the left-arm pacer Hayden Kerr who bowled a full delivery on off.

The batter could not build on his good start though and departed on 11 off nine balls which included a four as well apart from a six. Mitchell Perry got the better of him in the third over and now Warner would hope that the middle order fires, and Thunder cross the penultimate game to reach the finale.

The final will be played at the Bellerive Oval where Hobart Hurricanes will feature alongside the winner of the Challenger between Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers.
