New Zealand are one of the most underrated team in world cricket and one of the key assets of their success in last few years has been Daryl Mitchell. The man has been delivering across formats for the Kiwis and in the crucial semifinal of World Cup 2023 against India, the right-handed batter is once again showing his might.

He came into bat with New Zealand in all sorts of trouble at 39-2 in the 8th over but never let pressure get into him. The calmness of Kane Williamson at the other end also helped Mitchell's cause as he got to his fifty with a superb strike rate of over 100.

The biggest feature of Mitchell's knock was that he mixed caution with aggression beautifully and kept Kiwi going, never letting any Indian bowler settle.

One of his finest shots of the day was a humongous 107-metre six against Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja bowled it full, angling into off. Mitchell stayed deep in his crease and hammered it on the roof of Wankhede - as it turned out to be the biggest six of World Cup 2023. The previous longest six of World Cup 2023 was from Shreyas Iyer in the group stages against Sri Lanka.
