However, Shreyas Iyer with his consistent and aggressive batting at the number 4 position in this World Cup 2023 and has ensured India's dominance in this marquee event. 

Now, in the revenge game against the Kiwis in the World Cup 2023 semifinal, he has once again joined the party with a stunning 67-ball Hundred. It is his second consecutive hundred in this World Cup and he is surely turning out to be a game-changer for India.


It is the fastest hundred in the World Cup knockout game, breaking Adam Gilchrist's record of 72-ball hundred in the World Cup 2007. Shreyas Iyer looked in fine touch right from the ball one and slammed some huge sixes on his way to a record-breaking stand with Virat Kohli. He walked out to the middle after Shubman Gill walked off the field due to an injury, and displayed great style and swag, as Kiwis looked short of ideas.

Shreyas got to his century in the 48th over and eventually departed on the fifth delivery of the 49th over after breathtaking 105 off 70 balls.
