Swashbuckling South African batter Rilee Rossouw looked sublime in Punjab Kings' final group-stage match of the IPL 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Coming at number three, Rossouw clobbered 49 runs off just 24 balls before Pat Cummins got rid of him with a full toss. 

The incident occurred during the 18th over of Punjab's innings when Rossouw was taking on the host bowlers. 

Skipper Pat Cummins' decision to bring himself back into the attack paid rich dividends for the home team as the Aussie speedster dismissed him with a full toss. 

After conceding a single off his first delivery, Cummins bowled a low full toss, with Rossouw powerfully hitting it down the ground. 

However, he couldn't get the required elevation as the ball went straight to Abdul Samad, who took an easy catch at the long on fence. 

Before this match, Rossouw didn't have a great IPL season, managing only 162 runs at an average of 23.14 in seven innings. 

However, with today's scintillating performance, the Proteas batter proved his mettle for the Punjab-based franchise. 

Regarding the game, Rossouw was followed by Ashutosh Sharma, who was outfoxed by T Natarajan in the next over. 

As of writing, the visitors were well-placed at 196 for five in 19.2 overs, with Jitesh Sharma and Shivam Singh batting in the middle.
