Mitchell Santner smashed one of the longest sixes of his career, if not the longest, on Thursday while representing Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 against San Francisco Unicorns at Church Street Park.

The Kiwi all-rounder, who also plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL, launched a 106-metre biggie, against Pakistani spinner named Hassan Khan.

While chasing a below-par 128, Santner came to bat at No. 6 after Devon Conway and Faf du Plessis set the platform. Just before finishing things off, Santner brought out something special during the 12th over of the innings.

Hassan, the left-arm spinner, bowled a flighted delivery outside the off stump, and the Kiwi picked it up perfectly before smashing it out of the ground.

Eventually, the Super Kings saw off the target inside 13 overs with seven wickets in hand. In the process, they moved to top of the points table, while the Unicorns are fifth on the chart, having won one and lost one in the competition thus far.
