No Champions Trophy In Pakistan? BCCI Names 'These' Two Nations For India Games

In the latest developments around the Champions Trophy, there are reports that the elite fifty-over tournament will be held in a Hybrid Model similar to the one in Asia Cup 2023.
There were speculations about whether India would travel to Pakistan, which will host an ICC event after 28 years. However, ANI quoted a BCCI source and revealed that BCCI has asked ICC to play India Games in only Dubai or Sri Lanka.
Sports correspondent from ANI, Vipul Kashyap took to Twitter to break the news.
"India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy confirmed by the BCCI source. The board are asking ICC for hybrid models and wants to play in Dubai or Sri Lanka."
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be held around February. Notably, the PCB have not reacted to these reports as the Mohsin Naqvi-led board have been adamant about keeping the tournament within Pakistan. Recently, the officials also confirmed that there is no plan B like it was during Asia Cup 2023.
A similar situation arose during Asia Cup 2023, where India refused to travel to Pakistan for the continental cup and their games were shifted to Sri Lanka, where they eventually beat the Island Nation in the finals to emerge as Asia winners.
