Zimbabwe keeper, Clive Madande had a rough Test debut this week against Zimbabwe. The talented keeper-batter attained an unwanted record something which has not been achieved in 147 years of cricket history.

Madande creates unwanted record Vs Ireland

Clive Madande conceded 42 byes in a Test innings, which became a world-record, but one which he wouldn't be proud of. The Test match got from bad to worse for him as he was dismissed for a golden duck in the first innings.

To be fair, not all the byes conceded were his fault. Half the blame should go to the bowlers, for bowling erratic lines and lengths, and the late swing didn't help his cause either.

He broke the record of English keeper Les Ames, who against Australia, conceded 37 byes, in a Test match played in 1934 at the Oval. But the catch is that he became the first keeper in 147-years of cricket history to concede more than 40 byes in a single innings of a Test match.

Talking about the match, Zimbabwe were bundled out for 210 in their first innings, and their bowlers bundled out the Irish team for just 250 on the board.

In the second innings, Zimbabwe are currently 100/3 and they lead by 60 runs.
