Chad Soper, the Papua New Guinea right-handed batter was in the middle of helping them recover from an early top-order collapse alongside Kiplin Doriga as Soper was stranded in the middle of the pitch in an unfortunate runout.

The incident transpired at 9.4 when Soper was facing Noor Ahmed and he blocked a googly from Noor towards the bowler's right and took a couple of steps towards the non-striker. Doriga and Soper found themselves in a situation of massive miscommunication as the wicketkeeper ran all the way without stopping while the 32-year-old kept hesitating.

The confusing yes-no situation between the two resulted in Soper finding himself deserted miles away as Rashid Khan dislodged the bails.

The wicket ended the biggest partnership of the innings till that time, the two having already added 16(24). It reduced PNG to 46/6. Chad Soper ended his innings with 9(26).

At the time of writing, wicketkeeper Doriga and Alei Nou are in the middle of a a 29 run partnership with PNG 79/7 at the end of 16 overs.
