[Watch] Chris Wood's Sportsmanship Wins Hearts As He Chooses To Not Run Out Poor Parkinson

In a heartwarming moment of sportsmanship, Chris Wood won hearts as he decided to not run out Matthew Parkinson, where the batter got hit seriously during the Hampshire-Kent clash of the ongoing T20 Blast 2024.

During the final over of the game, Wood bowled a very full delivery to Joey Evison, who hit the ball hard towards the non-striker. Unfortunately, the ball went straight to Parkinson and hit him hard. He immediately fell down to the ground. 

This was an easy opportunity for Wood to run him out, as Parkinson had already come half-way down the wicket before he was hit with the ball, however, he chose to not run him out.

With this gesture, he highlighted the importance of being a good player with  high moral values. Moreover, since the game was almost at the cusp of conclusion he decided to not run-him out.

Talking about the game, Kent managed to score in 165/9 in 20 overs. On the other hand, Chris Wood was the pick of the bowler who took 2/19 in 4 overs and helped restricting the opposition for a modest total.
