In the fourth match of T20 World Cup 2024, Sri Lanka will take on South Africa at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. It is the first game for both the sides and they will be looking to get off the blocks with a win and put themselves in a comfortable position in Group D.

The match will be played at a brand new stadium build ahead of the World Cup, and so far only one practice match has been played at the venue. It was between India and Bangladesh, and Rohit Sharma's men won the game comfortably after putting up a good total on the board. The outfield was slow in the first game and it was not an easy game for strokeplay as well with batters only able to hit it big after getting set.

Pacers got good swing and most of the wickets were taken by seamers as well, so with both Sri Lanka and South Africa boasting of some quality pacers, we can expect them to make a big impact in this game. India scored 182 while batting first but Bangladesh managed just 122 and with it being an early morning start, let's see what the captain winning the toss decides in this all-important game.
