Scotland and Australia faced off against each other in the second of the three match T20I series at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburg, Scotland. It turned to be a record breaking affair as Josh Inglis played one of the best T20I knocks to guide Australia to a convincing win in the game.

Richard Berrington won the toss ahead of the game and put the visitors into bat. The Aussies did not have a great start to their innings as their openers, Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk were dismissed pretty early in the innings. However, Josh Inglish played a brilliant knock for the Aussies and put them ahead in the game.

Josh Inglis scored the fastest T20I hundred for Australia in Men's cricket and ensured that his team reached a formidable total of 196/4 in their 20 overs. The Australian keeper scored 103 off 49 after he was promoted to number three in the batting order. The best bowler for the Scottish team was Brad Currie who picked up three wickets for 37 runs in his four overs.

In reply to Australia's 196, Scotland made a dynamic start as George Munsey slammed 17 runs off the first over of the innings. However, soon the ODI World Champions made a comeback with a couple of quick wickets.

After the fall of the first two wickets, the Scottish batters struggled to form a partnership. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and started falling behind in the game. While the other batters were struggling to get a rhythm, Brandon McMullen was humbling the Aussie bowlers with ease.

Brandon McMullen stood tall amidst chaos for Scotland

He played a sparkling knock of 59 off 42 balls, during which he hit four fours and four sixes. One of these four sixes has particularly grabbed the attention of cricket fans and followers. This game against Cameron Green. McMullen stepped down the track to Green and lofted him over the long-off fence for a maximum with amazing grace and poise. The shot highlighted the ability and dynamism of McMullen as a batter.

Even though McMullen put up a brilliant fight, it was not enough to get Scotland close towards the target. The home team was bundled out for 126 in 16.4 overs as they lost the match by 70 runs. With his win Australia took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
