New Zealand's experienced all-rounder Glenn Phillips grabbed one of the most outrageous catches in Champions Trophy history, as his stunning grab sent Mohammad Rizwan packing in the ongoing match in Karachi. Coming at number three, Rizwan could score only three runs before Phillips took an outstanding catch to dismiss him.

Phillips Stuns Pakistan With Incredible Grab

The incident occurred during the tenth over of Pakistan's innings when Rizwan was trying to form a consolidating stand with Babar Azam following Saud Shakeel's dismissal. New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner's decision to bring William O'Rourke for another over weaved magic for the visitors, as the ace speedster got rid of Rizwan at a crucial juncture.

From over the wicket, O'Rourke bowled a slightly wide back-of-the-length delivery. As Rizwan saw the width, he decided to open his arms and break the shackles. However, although he connected the cut shot brilliantly, Phillips dived towards his left to grab a sensational one-handed catch.

Thus, Rizwan, who was expected to play a significant role for Pakistan, departed with disappointment all over his face.

Disciplined New Zealand Reduce Pakistan To 2 Down

Chasing a whopping target of 321 runs, Pakistan had a torrid start to their innings, losing Rizwan and Saud Shakeel for single-digit scores. As of writing, Pakistan were 35 for two, with Babar and Fakhar batting on 22* and 4*, respectively.
