England's promising keeper-batter Jamie Smith was dismissed in an unlucky fashion, as the ball kept incredibly low to castle him in the ongoing third Test against West Indies at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The incident occurred during the 70th over of England's first innings on day 2 of the Test match. After starting his over with a dot ball, West Indies seamer Shamar Joseph bowled an unplayable delivery that castled Jamie Smith.

From over the wicket, Joseph bowled a short ball that kept very low. As Smith went for a pull shot, he failed to connect the ball, which went under his bat to hit the off stump.

Thus, Smith, who looked all set for his maiden Test century, was unluckily dismissed for a blistering 109-ball 95.

His wicket opened the floodgates for England, as they lost two more wickets in quick succession to finish on 376 all out in their first innings.

In response, West Indies had a disastrous start to their innings, losing Kraigg Brathwaite and Kirk McKenzie cheaply inside six overs.

While Chris Woakes castled Brathwaite with a beauty, McKenzie was dismissed by the in-form Gus Atkinson. At stumps on day 2, West Indies were 33 for two in 14 overs, trailing by 61 runs.
