In the second Test between Pakistan and South Africa at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town, the visitors are in deep trouble as they have bundled for just 194 runs in the first innings to give the hosts a 421-run lead.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the day positively for Pakistan as the duo stitched a 98-run stand for the fourth wicket. It is worth noting that the visitors were 118/3 at one point but were reduced to 194/9. While the bowlers shone, credit must also go to David Bedingham, who stole the limelight in the field with four catches.

Out of all the catches, one that stood out from the rest was the only one he took at fine-leg when he got rid of Mir Hamza with a brilliant reflex catch. The incident occurred on the 5th ball of the 54th over when Hamza tried to flick one down the leg side, but Bedingham took a sharp catch.

Bedingham Struggling For Runs

While Bedingham is enjoying a great time in the field, he is struggling to score runs. In the first innings, he only scored 5 (18), which featured just a solitary four. Other than this, Bedingham is yet to create a mark and is unlikely that he will get to bat in the 2nd innings as the Proteas have enforced a follow-on.

Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, Pakistan are 80/0 in the 2nd innings and still trail by 341 runs.
