Bangladesh's left-arm quick Shoriful Islam returned excellent figures of 1/12 off his four overs while representing Bangla Tigers Mississauga in their Global T20 Canada 2024 match against Vancouver Knights. 

Shoriful's only success came against the Knights' wicket-keeper batter Munir Ahmad, who fell for a golden duck.

It was a beautiful delivery by Shoriful, which angled in sharply. Munir, just came in at No. 3, misread the line, and hence, the ball struck his pad.

Shoriful was confident as soon as the ball hit his pad, and the on-field umpire did not take much time to raise his finger.

Apart from Shoriful, Bangladesh's another star Shakib Al Hasan was equally impressive, having returned figures of 3/12. Thanks to them, Bangla Tigers managed to win the contest by 22 runs despite posting a below-par 152/7 on the baord. The Knights, in reply, could only muster 130/6.

Having lost two in two matches, the Knights are placed bottom of the points table. Bangla Tigers, on the other hand, are fourth, with one win and one defeat.
