[Watch] Bangladesh Wicketkeeper Recreates MS Dhoni's Iconic Run Out In Asia Cup 2024

We are moving towards the business end of Women's Asia Cup 2024, and in the penultimate game of the group stage, Bangladesh Women managed to beat Malaysia Women by 114 runs. Bangladesh posted a massive total on the board and then followed it up with a strong bowling performance which was capped off with a run out by the wicketkeeper Dilara Akter.

The run-out came on the final delivery of the match when Jahanara Alam bowled a shortish delivery on off. Nur Izzatul Syafiqa tried to pull it but got an inside edge that rolled just past the leg stump to the keeper. The batters tried to steal a single, but the wicketkeeper Dilara Akter ran towards the ball quickly, collected it and fired a direct-hit at the batter's end.

Suabika Manivannan running at the batter's end failed to make her ground and Malaysia lost their eight wicket on the final ball to seal a big Bangladesh win. It brought back memories MS Dhoni's famous run-out of Mustafizur Rahman in the T20 World Cup 2016.
