The Maharaja Trophy 2024 came to a conclusion with the Mysore Warriors crowned the champions. The Warriors defeated the Bengaluru Blasters rather convincingly to win the trophy.

During the tournament a few players made their marks with some brilliant shows. While some of these players have already been a part of the IPL previously, there were some new talents who made a case for themselves ahead of the mega auction that will take place before the next season.

Here is a look at five players who might be the prime targets of the franchises during the IPL 2025 mega auction.

The right arm medium fast bowler of the Hubli Tigers, was amongst the wickets throughout the tournament. LR Kumar was a touch expensive, but this could be given down to the fact that he bowled the difficult overs for his team. The IPL teams looking for wicket-taking bowlers will be going after Kumar during the auction. Getting an Indian bowler who can pick up wickets in all the stages of a game at a reasonable price will make LR Kumar a hot commodity during the event.

4. Lavish Kaushal (Bengaluru Blasters)

The left-arm medium bowler for the Bengaluru Blasters was one of the main stays of their journey to the final. Lavish Kaushal was not only a wicket taker, but also bowled with a decent economy rate. The IPL teams will be eyeing up Kaushal during the auction as his presence will add depth and variety into the bowling department of any team.

3. Abhinav Manohar (Shivamogga Lions)

Abhinav Manohar had a dream run with the bat in the Maharaja Trophy 2024. He was not only consistent with his run scoring but also did at a great rate. Manohar was a part of the Gujarat Titans for the last couple of seasons. Given that there will be players released ahead of the mega-auction, one might opt that Manohar will not be retained by the franchise. If that happens and he comes up in the mega auction, the IPL franchises will definitely go after him keeping in mind his recent form.

2. Manoj Bhandage (Mysore Warriors)

If you are looking for a lower-order batter and a handy bowler, then on current form there can be no better player than Manoj Bhandage. He had a stellar season especially with the bat and also decent with the ball. Bhandage was a part of the RCB team for the last couple of seasons but did not get an opportunity play. It is expected that he will be released and in that case, the franchises will look to buy him and an utility player in their squad.

1.Karun Nair (Mysore Warriros)

Karun Nair led his team from the front in their title run. Batting in the middle-order Nair formed the backbone of the team's batting line-up. Not only did he score runs on a consistent basis, he scored them a brilliant rate. Even though, Nair has been a part of different IPL teams he has not had a breakthrough season so far. However, with the performance that he gave in this editon of the tournament, the IPL teams will be going after him in the auction to add dynamism and strength to their batting line-up.
