[Watch] Babar Azam’s ‘Disastrous’ Form In Australia Ends As Head’s Golden Arm Does The Job

There have been plenty of hopes around Babar Azam’s performance in Australia in the ongoing three-match Test series. The talismanic batter resigned as Pakistan’s captain across all three formats just before this tour, and hence, the expectations were higher than before.

However, all Babar brought to his ardent fans was disappointment, and his poor run of form came to an end in an embarrassing manner.

It was a tossed-up delivery by Travis Head, which Babar, batting on 23, wanted to play a drive through covers. However, he was beaten by the turn and bounce, and the ball got a thin outside edge before Alex Carey took an excellent catch with the big gloves behind the stumps to end Babar’s stay.

Immediately after, Head went for a caught behind appeal, and the on-field umpire raised his finger. Babar too knew he was gone, and thus, he did not take a DRS against the decision.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, despite taking a first-innings lead, are on the verge of suffering yet another defeat. The Shan Masood-led side, at stumps on Day 3 of the third Test, slipped to 68/7, leading by only 82 runs.
