[Watch] Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli ‘Caught Abusing’ While DRS Discussion

Everyone knows how Rohit Sharma behaves on the field, as he has always had a don’t care attitude while talking to teammates. Similarly, a candid conversation between him and Virat Kohli, which took place at Newlands, Cape Town, on Thursday (January 4), left everyone in splits.

It all happened when Rohit, placed at short leg, took a catch off Nandre Burger’s pads just before the end of the 34th over. Rohit immediately went for an appeal, and Mohammed Siraj, the bowler, was interested for a while as well. In between, the Indian captain hurled abuses out of nowhere, thinking they could have taken a DRS with all three chances in their bag, and they only required one wicket to wrap things up.

Even Virat Kohli agreed with Rohit, saying, ‘Yes yes, there might be an inside edge.’ However, eventually, India did not go for DRS.

Having already 0-1 down, India have a good chance to level things up in the second and final Test. The Indian bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, bowled out South Africa for 176 in the second innings, and they now only require to chase a paltry 79-run target to get the job done.
