Australian explosive opener David Warner's lost 'Baggy Green' has been found after four days after the cricketer's plea on social media.

On Friday, Warner took to Instagram and announced that the backpack, which contained his original Test debut cap from 2011, and another cap had been located at the team hotel in Sydney, with the mystery behind its retrieval still unclear.

Regardless, Warner expressed his gratitude and thanked people involved in finding his very first Australian Test cap.

Along with the clip, where Warner showcased his cap, the opener also wrote a long caption thanking various stakeholders involved in the process of finding the cap.

"Hi everyone, I am very pleased and relieved to let you all know that my baggy greens have been found, which is great news. Thanks to all involved and I am extremely grateful. Qantas, the freight company, our hotels and team management. Thanks [sic] you.

"Any cricketer knows how special their cap is and I will cherish this for the rest of my life."

Cricket Australia (CA) in their statement, added that Warner's bag was found at the team hotel in Sydney, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage across locations to uncover the kit's disappearance and appearance.

The backpack got lost during the Australian team's journey from Melbourne to Sydney, where Warner is currently playing his final Test.

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old loaned an extra cap from CA for photoshoots and also wore the same Baggy Green for the opening day of his Farewell Test.
