Riding on Moeen Ali's exceptional bowling spell, England had a great start to the second half of the ongoing T20I against Pakistan at Edgbaston, Birmingham. After dismissing Mohammad Rizwan in his first over, the veteran off-spinner got rid of the well-set Babar Azam to push Pakistan on the back foot.

The incident occurred during the ninth over of Pakistan's innings when Babar was forming a consolidating stand alongside swashbuckling batter Fakhar Zaman.

Bringing Moeen back for his last over proved to be a master stroke by Jos Buttler, with the all-rounder dismissing Babar on his very first delivery.

It was a full length ball from Moeen as Babar went for a risky sweep shot. However, the ball wasn't that full; as a result, the stylish batter missed it completely and it struck him on his front pad.

As soon as the English players appealed, the on-field umpire raised his finger, declaring Babar out. However, despite knowing that he hadn't edged it, Babar opted to go upstairs.

But his decision backfired on the visitors, with the TV umpire upholding the on-field call upon finding three reds in HawkEye.

Meanwhile, chasing 184, Pakistan were in a spot of bother, placed at 78 for four in 9.5 overs, with Fakhar and Azam Khan batting in the middle.
