Babar Azam is known for his class and consistency and he is showing all of that in PSL 2024. He has been in red-hot form and in the 29th match of PSL 2024, he smashed his third consecutive fifty before losing his wicket courtesy an unfortunate run out.

The Peshawar Zalmi captain scored 51 off 46 balls and was looking determined as ever to bat till the end with five fours and a six in his knock. He got to his fifty with a powerful shot towards the extra cover fence and as always looked class apart.

The shot that took him to his fifty was a powerful drive off a full toss from Zahid Mehmood which was hit in the gap with great precision.

It was actually the slowest fifty of Babar Azam in PSL 2024 who has now five fifties in the season along with one majestic hundred. The former Pakistan skipper is actually making a statement with this consistency as an opener as he was demoted to number 3 in the series against New Zealand with selectors looking for a more aggressive option at the top of the order.

Saim Ayub was the one who replaced him as an opener against Blackcaps but he has not been able to convert his start which can open up space for Babar as an opener again in T20Is.
