Pakistan's talismanic batter Babar Azam had a forgettable outing in the second T20I against Australia, as he was dismissed cheaply in a high-voltage encounter in Sydney. Opening the batting for Pakistan, Babar managed only three runs before Xavier Bartlett dismissed him.

The incident occurred during the second over of Pakistan's innings after restricted Australia to 147, courtesy of clinical spells from Haris Rauf and Abbas Afridi. However, the visitors had the worst possible start to the run chase, with previous game's hero Xavier Bartlett getting his prized scalp.

After Spencer Johnson conceded twelve runs in the first over, Australian captain Josh Inglis brought Bartlett into the attack. His decision worked wonders for the hosts, with the right-arm pacer dismissing Babar Azam. From over the wicket, Bartlett bowled full-length delivery around the length stump, inviting Babar to free his arms.

However, the stylish batter from Lahore fell in his trap, hitting it straight to Nathan Ellis, who took a simple catch at deep mid wicket. Thus, Babar, who was expected to play a crucial role for Pakistan, departed for a single-digit score.

Pakistan Lose Two Men Early As Aussies Claim Driving Seat

After Bartlett removed Babar, Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed by Spencer Johnson for five runs. Thus, the Aussies rocked Pakistan with two massive setbacks, sending shockwaves in the visitors' camp. At the time of writing, Pakistan were tottering at 20 for two, with Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan batting on 3* and 2*, respectively.
