Haris Rauf and Babar- (Source:@ScreenGrab)
In the ongoing 2nd T20I between Australia and Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the hosts are in trouble as their decision to bat first has not gone in their favour. Notably, the Men in Yellow struggled to put 150 runs on the board.
Australia got off to a flying start as Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matthew Short stitched a quickfire 50-run stand for the first wicket. However, Haris Rauf, who has been the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan in this Australian tour, turned the course of the game and took two wickets in his first over.
Following the two heavy blows, Australia's strike rate dropped, and wickets at regular intervals kept Pakistan in the driver's seat. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf was denied his third wicket of the night after former skipper Babar Azam dropped a dolly at short-midwicket.
On the 2nd ball of the 15th over, Tim David hit the ball towards Babar Azam as the ex-skipper put down a sitter. While, Babar was stunned by the dropped catch, the camera panned to Rauf, who was celebrating pre-maturely and cut short his celebration and put his hands on his face in frustration.
Frustrating Time For Pakistan In The Field
Meanwhile, current skipper Mohammad Rizwan was also shocked by the casual effort on the field by Babar. Pakistan are having a terrible night in the field as it was not the only dropped catch of the night as Shaheen Afridi and Agha Salman too dropped catches.
Nonetheless, Haris got rid of Tim David at the same over as Abbas Afridi made no mistake. At the time of writing this article, Australia put 147/9 on the board.
