Indian captain Rohit Sharma had a memorable outing with the bat in the third Test against England. Opening the batting, Rohit slammed a scintillating hundred, helping India post a mammoth first innings total.

His valiant efforts didn't go in vain, as the hosts crushed the Englishmen by 434 runs to go 2-1 up in the series.

The legendary opener is on the verge of becoming the first player to hit 600 sixes in international cricket. Hailed for his ability to hit sixes nonchalantly, Rohit has 593 sixes to his name across formats and needs only seven more maximums to attain the milestone.

Rohit is daylight ahead of the rest on the elite list, with Caribbean legend Chris Gayle placed second with 553 sixes under his belt. Iconic Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi is third with 476 sixes, while the Kiwi duo of Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill occupy the fourth and fifth position, respectively.
