Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to his official social media handle to extend his heartfelt wishes to star couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma as they welcomed their second child on February 20, 2024. 

Tendulkar has pinned his hope that the newborn baby boy, named 'Akaay', would bring light and joy to their family, just as his name suggests.

Kohli and Anushka Sharma delighted fans and the entire cricket and Bollywood community with the announcement of the birth of their second child. While congratulating the parents of the new born, Tendulkar penned a heartfelt message on his social media handle. 

In his message, Tendulkar wrote, "Congratulations to Virat and Anushka on the arrival of Akaay, a precious addition to your beautiful family! Just like his name lights up the room, may he fill your world with endless joy and laughter. Here's to the adventures and memories you'll cherish forever. Welcome to the world, little champ!"


In the announcement post, Kohli and Anushka expressed their joy and gratitude for the arrival of their baby boy, and requested blessings and good wishes from everyone while also asking for respect for their privacy.

With the arrival of their second child, the mystery behind Kohli's absence from the England Test series has been put to rest. Speculations had been rife regarding Kohli's decision to skip the series, citing personal reasons. 

While rumors suggested it was due to Anushka's pregnancy, the couple refrained from making any official announcements until the birth of their son. 

Even when away from the spotlight of their respective professions, Kohli and Anushka continues to take the headlines, as the arrival of their second child became a celebrated event in itself.
