Abhishek Sharma, gained much fame in IPL's 2023 and 2024 edition because of his explosive and trustworthy batting. The Amritsar-born batter made his debut with Delhi Capitals in 2018 and was roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019.
Staying true to his name in the IPL, Sharma earned the trust of the Kavya Maran co-owned franchise for the 2025 edition too as he was retained for a whopping 14 crore before the mega auction. Sharma really made a name for himself by scoring 484 runs in 16 IPL matches in 2024. This strong performance got him his first call-up to the Indian team in July this year.

In the match against the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023, Abhishek Sharma played a pivotal role with his impressive 67-run knock off just 36 balls, helping SRH secure a commanding victory.
Partnering with Mayank Agarwal as the opener, Sharma anchored the innings despite early dismissals of Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram. He maintained his composure until the fifth wicket, batting alongside Klaasen before falling victim to DC's Axar Patel in the 12th over.
Sharma's outstanding performance enabled SRH to establish a solid lead over the Delhi Capitals, and the SRH bowlers effectively dismantled DC's batting lineup, resulting in a 9-run win.
