India's Mukesh Kumar provided just the dream start for his team in the on-going India A versus Australia A first Test at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. The two teams will be playing two unofficial Tests before their senior men's team lockhorns with one another for the Border Gavaskar Trophy later in November.

Sam Konstas, who is making headlines to probably open alongside Usman Khwaja in BGT 2024 for Australia, failed miserably as he departed for an embarrassing three-ball duck in the very first over. The youngster failed to react as he walked off immediately after his wicket.

Prasidh Krishna added drama to the scene by dismissing Cameron Bancroft. At the time of writing, Australia A are 15/2 and still behind by 92 runs, Marcus Harris and skipper McSweeney are trying to build a meaningful partnership.
