ENG vs OMN Toss Update | Topley In, Jordan Out As England Opt To Bowl; Check Playing XIs

England will bowl first vs Oman [X]England will bowl first vs Oman [X]

In a significant development, England have won the toss and elected to bowl in their third T20 World Cup group-stage encounter against Oman. England have made one change to their playing XI from the last match, replacing Chris Jordan with ace speedster Reece Topley.

At toss, England captain Jos Buttler explained why they prefer a target in front of them to chase in this must-win fixture, saying,

"We are going to bowl first today but we'd like to know what we are chasing. Where we are today we need to win the game. We are really focused on today, had a good prep leading into today. Run rate on the minds little bit. That's why we want to chase so we will know what we have to chase. Reece Topley is in the XI."

Meanwhile, Oman skipper Aqib Ilyas Sulehri revealed that they would've bowled first had they won the toss and said,

"Yeah, we also wanted to bowl first. Toss is not in your hands. As Jos (Buttler) said, it's a good track to bat on. It's a flat track to bat on. Our batters need to be on their toes and perform,"

"We did really well in the tournament. We have been bowling well. We have to improve on our fielding. We have dropped a lot of catches. They have hurt us. One change. Fayyaz Butt comes in. He is a good fast bowler. One player goes out."
