England and Wales Cricket Board ( ECB) have thought of a special gesture for Zimbabwe cricket, as the ECB chief executive Richard Gould confirmed that the board would pay a 'tourist fee' to Zimbabwe for playing Test cricket against England next year.

Notably, England will face Zimbabwe in a one-off Test at home next year and in a first, they will aid the side from Zimbabwe with financial help during their visit to England for the Test.

"When you look at whether it's the revenue share from the ICC or indeed the revenue share from bilateral cricket, which is fairly old fashioned in truth in the way that it's delivered," Gould said.

Usually, when a team tours away from home, they are only helped with the accommodation, but their daily allowance is managed by their home board.

"Normally the touring team gets itself into the country, and then it's looked after in terms of accommodation, all the rest of it but there's no fee for that team that's touring. Next year when we play against Zimbabwe, there will be a fee for that team that's touring."

It will be for the first time in 21 years that Zimbabwe will tour England for a Test game. The last-time they visited was in 2003 when the hosts beat Zimbabwe 2-0. At present, West Indies are touring England for a three-match Test series.
