Seems like West Indies came out with a perfect game-plan against the England batters on Day 2 of the Lord's Test match.

Despite lagging behind in the game, West Indian bowlers decided to use the short-ball tactics to dismiss the English batters, who are known to approach the game in an aggressive manner.

Alzarri's short-ball does the trick for Windies

After dismissing three top-order batters, West Indies saw a glimmer of hope as they tried to crawl back in the contest after getting bundled out for a meagre 121. However, Joe Root and Harry Brook shut down all the doors as the partnership blossomed and England dominated the opposition.

Brook, in particular looked at his aggressive best and brought up a quick-fire fifty to punish the Men in Maroon. WI needed a breakthrough, and they got it from Alzarri Joseph, who bowled a perfect short-ball to trap Brook. He pitched it just outside the off and Brook miscued his attempted pull shot.

The ball got a top-edge and the keeper had the simplest of catches to take as England lost their 4th wicket.

At the moment, England are 256/5, leading by 135 runs. West Indies, However, have got another inroad in the form of Ben Stokes, who was dismissed for 4.
