Gus Atkinson is having a dream Test debut against the West Indian batters. The London-born pacer bowled his heart out and grabbed a 5-wicket haul in his maiden Test.

England, after winning the toss elected to bowl first on a cloudy morning. The West Indian openers were off to a cautious start in Jimmy Anderson's final Test. Ben Stokes and his team needed something special to break the partnership, and it was the debutant Atkinson, who grabbed two wickets in quick successions to push West Indies on the back-foot.

Once again, the Windies batters batted with guile and both Alick Athanaze and Kavem Hodge added 44 runs for the 4th wicket, before Atkinson once again struck with a triple wicket over.

He plucked the wicket of Athanaze, and then followed it up with the big scalp of Jason Holder for naught. Two balls later, the right-arm quick bowler showed his class and knocked over Joshua Da Silva for a two-ball duck to snatch the momentum in England's favour. In the space of four deliveries, he dismantled the West Indian middle-order.

In the next over, Chris Woakes continued the good work and snatched the wicket of Hodge to pile on more misery on the Windies.

At the moment, the Men in Maroon are tottering at 106/9, with just a session and a half being played.
