The young spinner's performance included figures of 7/140, which showcased his talent and potential as a bowler at this young age.

His victims included notable players like Rory Burns, Ben Foakes, and Sai Sudarshan. Farhan's accomplishment is even more significant as it adds to his previous record of being Nottinghamshire's youngest County Championship player, having played for the team at just 14 years old in the second XI in 2022.

It is worth mentioning that, Farhan Ahmed achieved remarkable final figures of 7/40 from 50.4 overs. Besides the wicket that he scalped one thing that gained a lot of attention was he maintained a low economy rate of 2.76 runs per over.

Being in the headlines is nothing new for the young spinner he has also earlier been in the spotlight as he has the record as Nottinghamshire's youngest County Championship player and represented England at the U19 level.

Farhan is the younger brother of England's leg-spinner, Rehan Ahmed.

The 16-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year professional contract with Nottinghamshire earlier this summer. He has been part of the Notts academy and made his second-team debut when he was 14.

Farhan's brother Rehan also made history last year when he became the youngest player to represent England in a men's Test match during their tour of Pakistan where he famously took a five-wicket haul at 18 years old.
