In a heartwarming scene at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium during the Islamabad United versus Quetta Gladiators match in the PSL 2024, cricket fans witnessed a dream come true for the Shah brothers and their family.

Hunain Shah, the 20-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler, received his debut cap from none other than his idol and elder brother, Naseem Shah.

The emotional highlight of the evening came when Naseem Shah, already a celebrated cricketer, passed the debut cap to his younger brother, a gesture that encapsulated the bond and pride between the siblings.

The entire team, led by coach Mike Hesson, rejoiced in this special moment, which was captured and shared widely on social media by the franchise's official page.

Both siblings now represent Islamabad United, a momentous occasion for their family. Hunain's journey to this point has been remarkable.

Initially part of the Lahore Qalandars' development program in 2020, he made his mark in the Pakistani domestic circuit with impressive performances.

Playing 8 first-class matches, he claimed 17 wickets, and in 14 T20 matches, he also picked up 17 wickets while representing Central Punjab.

It is worth noticing that their youngest sibling, Ubaid Shah, recently played for the Pakistan U19 cricket team at the U19 World Cup 2024 and he is also a part of United’s squad for PSL 2024.

On the field, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and chose to bowl first. After seven overs, Islamabad United stood at 69/1, with Alex Hales dismissed after a quickfire 21 runs off just 9 balls.
