The tentative venues for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as reported by Code Sports, promise an exciting and varied series of matches between Australia and India. The upcoming edition of the series is scheduled for later in the year, with a slight change in venues.

India has been dominating Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy since the previous two editions. The young guns triumphed in 2021 first in a historic Gabba victory, which set the start of a new era of Indian Test cricket.

Notably, the Men in Blue once again unleashed its dominance in the following edition in 2022 and sealed a 2-1 series victory.

Having said that, the newest edition of the Border Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled for this year, and Code Sports has revealed names of tentative venues for the five-game series.

The series will likely kick off with the first Test scheduled to be held at the iconic Perth Stadium, followed by the second game (Day/Night) being played at Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide Oval has often been regarded as Virat Kohli's fortress due to his scintillating performance. Thus, India will bank on the former skipper to lead from the front in the Day/Night game.

Moving on to the third Test, the series shifts to The Gabba in Brisbane. It's a special venue from India's standpoint. They recorded a historic win two years ago and would look to establish a new era of dominance this time around as well.

The series then moves to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the fourth Test. MCG remains one of the most iconic venues across the globe. A close contest is expected to play out at this venue, where Aussies have historically dominated.

The final Test will likely be held at Sydney Cricket Ground. Known for its spin-friendly conditions and iconic setting, the SCG provides a fitting finale to the series. Hopefully, India can benefit from the condition and end the series on a high.

That being said, these venues are tentative, and a final call has yet to be made by the concerned authorities.
