South African speedster Anrich Nortje delivered a standout performance, leaving the USA's chase of 195 in shambles in the Super 8 match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. By the 10th over, the USA was reeling at 73 for 4.

Anrich Nortje's moment of brilliance came with his fiery delivery against Corey Anderson, right after being smashed for a six. Anderson, who had scored 12 runs off 12 balls, faced a 91 mph delivery from Nortje.

The ball was full and aimed at the stumps, and the left-handed batter, attempting to back away and expose the stumps, missed the line completely.

The leg stump went cartwheeling, earning Nortje a crucial wicket and electrifying the crowd.

This significant breakthrough added to South Africa's early successes. Kagiso Rabada had already taken two vital wickets, dismissing Steven Taylor and Nitish Kumar. Keshav Maharaj further tightened the screws by removing USA's stand-in skipper, Aaron Jones, for a duck in five balls.

At the time of writing, the USA's score stands precariously at 76 for 5 in 11 overs, with Andries Gous and Harmeet Singh at the crease, struggling to keep the chase alive.
