In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 game between the United States and South Africa, Keshav Maharaj successfully removed stand-in skipper Aaron Jones for a 5-ball duck.

Maharaj unravelled a full and outside the off-stump delivery in the sixth over. Jones prodded forward and played the shot late with an angled bat. He played away from the body and paid the heavy price for it. Quinton de Kock swiftly made a sharp catch behind the stumps, and with that, USA's big hope named Jones was dismissed in a heartbeat.

At the time of writing, things don't look too bright for the USA, who are at 71/4 and still need 124 runs from 60 balls.

Early on in the game, USA bowlers tried their best but managed to restrict the opposition for 194/4. Both Saurabh Netravalkar and Harmeet Singh scalped two wickets each, however, the others leaked too many runs. For the co-hosts to win this Super Eight clash, they must get a hold of themselves and stage a good partnership in order to make the Proteas men taste dust.
