Harmanpreet Kaur's sportsmanship shone brightly as she shook hands with Laura Wolvaardt after India's narrow 4-run victory against South Africa in the second ODI at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

This gesture, captured in a video showing a smiling Harmanpreet, won the hearts of fans and highlighted the spirit of cricket.

The match on June 19 was a thrilling contest, with India securing an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. India's innings was marked by an exceptional partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur.

Mandhana scored her highest ODI total of 136, equalling Mithali Raj's record for the most hundreds by an Indian in ODIs. Harmanpreet, ending a 20-month wait for an ODI century, contributed a vital 88-ball 103.

Their efforts propelled India to 325, their third-highest total in the format, including a record eight sixes in an ODI innings for the team.

South Africa's chase was equally compelling, led by Laura Wolvaardt's unbeaten 135 and Marizanne Kapp's 114. Despite their heroic efforts, South Africa finished at 321, falling just 4 runs short. Wolvaardt's brilliant performance, though ultimately in vain, showcased her skill and determination.
