In a thrilling encounter at the Delhi Premier League 2024, Ayush Badoni, the captain of the South Delhi Superstarz, delivered a jaw-dropping performance that will be remembered for years. 

On August 25, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Badoni unleashed a spectacular display of power hitting against the West Delhi Lions, particularly in the 8th over, where he smashed four consecutive sixes off the bowling of Hrithik Shokeen.

The carnage began with Shokeen’s right-arm offbreak deliveries. Badoni, showcasing his aggressive intent, punished the bowler mercilessly. 

On the first ball of the over, a flighted delivery on off-stump was dispatched over deep midwicket for a maximum. Badoni’s intent was clear as he got down on one knee and executed a perfect slog sweep.


The next delivery, also tossed up on length, met a similar fate as Badoni heaved it over the long-on region. The crowd roared as Badoni's powerful stroke cleared the boundary with ease. On the fifth ball, a flighted delivery on middle stump was met with a well-timed strike over the long-on boundary for another six.

West Delhi Lions Need To Chase 229 Runs

Finally, the sixth ball saw Badoni dance down the pitch and send the ball sailing over the bowler’s head for his fourth consecutive six. The over yielded 26 runs, showcasing Badoni's dominance and skill.

Ayush Badoni's innings concluded with an impressive 57 runs off just 28 balls. His explosive batting not only entertained but also set a formidable target for the West Delhi Lions, as the Superstarz posted a total of 228 runs.
