However, lately, Pakistan's standards in international cricket have fallen, with the team struggling to stay competitive even against associate member nations.

On the other hand, Test matches between these two nations, specifically, have seen Pakistan struggle at times, resulting in some of their lowest innings totals against Bangladesh.

During the 2021 Pakistan tour of Bangladesh, Pakistan posted one of their lowest totals against the Bangla Tigers. In response to Bangladesh's 330 first-innings score, Pakistan succumbed to 286/10 despite Abid Ali's century at the top. After the 146-run opening stand, the middle order was dismantled by Taijul Islam's sensational 7-wicket haul.

His wickets include Azhar Ali, Shafique and Abid Ali. Fortunately, Shaheen Afridi got Pakistan back into the match with a fifer in the third inning. They restricted Bangladesh to 157 in their second innings and chased down the target of 202 with ease, winning the Test by eight wickets.

2. 175/10 at Multan, 2003

The second-lowest total for Pakistan against Bangladesh came during the 2003 Test series when they were bowled out for 175 runs in Multan. In response to Bangladesh's 281 runs first inning total, the men in green were tested by the duo of Mohammad Rafique and Khaled Mahmud as they chipped nine wickets combined.

Pakistan's inability to build partnerships led to their downfall, and they were bowled out for 175. Despite this low score, Pakistan managed to win the Test match, largely due to their superior bowling attack, which dismissed Bangladesh for 154 in the next inning. Pakistan chased down the target by the barest of margins to record a 1-wicket thriller victory and saved their pride in front of the home fans.
